Details of Disappearance:: On June 7, 2000, Jonathan went hiking with his family in Washington state. He got separated from them near a tall cliff (80 feet high!) around 3:00 PM. Three days later, searchers found one of his things near the cliff, and it looked like someone had fallen there. The police think he fell off the cliff into the ocean. His family agreed with this, and they had a memorial service for him, even though his body was never found. Jonathan was a teenager who lived in Utah with his family and loved sports, music (he was learning the viola), and his church and Boy Scouts.
