Details of Disappearance:
In Little Rock, Arkansas, Eiland was last seen on May 31, 2013. He was homeless and close friends with another homeless man, Kasey Hudson. They were often together. Eiland had recently moved from California to Arkansas with a couple, Cathy and Elijah New, who offered him a place to live, but he preferred to stay on the streets. He kept in weekly contact with the New’s by phone.

Over Memorial Day weekend, there were heavy rains. Kasey Hudson’s body was found in Coleman Creek; it was a flood-prone area, and he likely drowned accidentally. After Hudson’s death, people realized Eiland was missing. He’d last been seen on May 31st visiting the New’s. He stopped contacting them after that. His family in California reported him missing in July.

No one knows what happened to Eiland. He might have drowned with Hudson, or something else could have happened. The case is still unsolved.
