- In April 2001, Jose disappeared from Longview, Washington. His dad, Alvaro Carrillo Garcia, who didn’t have legal custody, took him. They said they were going to Portland, Oregon, for a quick trip, but Alvaro never brought Jose back.
Alvaro (born February 1, 1980) is Hispanic, about 5’5″ tall and 145 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a noticeable lazy left eye. He’s also known as “Alvy” or “Chunk” and worked odd jobs. There are warrants out for his arrest: one for taking Jose and another for running away to avoid being caught.
Police think Alvaro and Jose might be in Mexico, possibly Oaxaca or Nogales. The case is still open. A picture of Alvaro is available.
