- Jose Espinoza vanished in Charlotte, North Carolina on May 11, 2003. Years later, on Christmas Eve 2008, some of his bones were found in the woods near Dixie River Road. It wasn’t until June 2023 that scientists were able to identify them using DNA. Police are now investigating his death as a murder.
