- Karen disappeared in Pasadena, Maryland, sometime in the winter of 1976. She was a bright student, skipping sixth grade, but had been acting out and running away before vanishing. She was living with her grandmother then.
Her grandmother said Karen ran away, but Karen left everything behind, even her winter coat. No one has heard from Karen since.
In 2007, Karen’s brother asked police about her case. Her family claimed to have reported her missing in 1976, but police found no record.
Police now think something bad happened to Karen. They’ve searched her grandmother’s old house and even a well on the property. They have a suspect who was close to Karen. The case is still open and unsolved.
