Details of Disappearance:
Karen disappeared in January 1991. The last time anyone saw her was when she dropped off her daughters at her ex-in-laws’ house in Kingston, Tennessee. She was supposed to work the next day but never showed up. Someone claiming to be Karen called a towing company to have her car towed, but the tow truck driver later said the voice on the phone wasn’t hers.

Her lawyer reported her missing a week later. Her apartment was untouched, with her belongings still inside. Her car was found near a bridge, close to where she’d left her daughters.

Karen had a difficult relationship with her ex-husband, Reece. They had a bitter custody battle, and Karen was terrified of him. She was also battling drug addiction in the past, but her sister said she had gotten clean. There were serious accusations of drug use and other problems on both sides of the family.

Police think Karen was murdered and her body hidden. They suspected several of Reece’s friends, and one of them tried to contact investigators before he died of cancer, but he passed away before they could talk to him.

Despite strong suspicion of foul play, no one has ever been arrested for Karen’s disappearance, and the case remains unsolved.
