- On October 3, 2002, Kincaid vanished after being seen at a Safeway grocery store in Oakland, Oregon. Her small dog, a Pomeranian named Pippen, disappeared with her. While police first thought she might have left because of a recent divorce, they now suspect something bad happened. Finding Pippen is important because whoever took Kincaid might have taken the dog too. Pippen would be an older dog now. Kincaid lived in a cabin nearby and was close to her family; it’s very unusual for her to disappear like this. The mystery remains unsolved.
