Police suspect Kasee may be a victim of the Green River Killer. This serial killer, Gary Ridgway, was eventually convicted of 48 murders in 2003, many of his victims being prostitutes or runaways. Ridgway was a suspect since 1984, with witnesses linking him to some victims and his truck being seen near where they were last seen. DNA evidence from a saliva sample he gave in 1987 finally connected him to three victims in 2001. Evidence found in his home (bone fragments, hair, blood, gloves, jewelry, wigs) further implicated him.

While Ridgway seemed like a normal family man, testimony from ex-wives and prostitutes described violent sexual acts involving choking. He pleaded guilty to avoid the death penalty and is serving life in prison. However, investigators believe he may be responsible for more killings. Kasee’s disappearance is considered suspicious because of the circumstances and the connection to the Green River Killer case.
