Details of Disappearance:
On September 19, 2009, a woman named Major was at the Four Seasons in Wyoming. She was caught shoplifting from the spa and admitted it. The hotel let her go after she agreed to pay for what she stole.

She went back to her room to pack, but when police checked on her 40 minutes later, she was gone. Her room was empty except for her two cats. She left behind her car, wallet, purse, cash ($45,000!), and all her other belongings. The door was open, and a safe was slightly open. She left a note for her mom saying she had nothing and to care for the cats.

Police found strange things in her room: pills, syringes, wigs, gloves, rope, and other items that made them think she might have been having a mental health crisis (possibly related to bipolar disorder).

Police dogs followed her scent for a while, but lost it near some open fields. Because of this, and everything else, the police and Major’s family believe she is dead, but they’ve never found her body and the case is still a mystery.
