Details of Disappearance:
A woman named Paquin disappeared from her Albuquerque, New Mexico home on August 15, 2012. Her neighbors, Christopher and Brittany Blattner, were soon caught stealing $63,000 from her bank account. They spent the money on things like computers, clothes, and motorcycles.

Christopher confessed to his wife that he killed Paquin, cut up her body, and hid the remains. He had a history of drug crimes and was on parole at the time of Paquin’s disappearance—a parole that was later found to be a mistake; he should have still been in prison.

Christopher was charged with murder. He eventually pleaded guilty to manslaughter in Paquin’s death, plus murder in another case and assaulting a police officer. He got 28 years in prison. The charges against his wife were dropped as part of a deal. He later received an additional 30-year sentence for drug charges. Even though he had to agree to reveal where Paquin’s body was as part of his plea deal, he never did, and her body has never been found. Police strongly suspect Christopher murdered her.
