- Kathleen disappeared on or around May 22, 1981. She’d been at a skating rink with family, but got bored and walked to her older sister’s house. After chatting for an hour, she walked home, but never arrived.
Her sister felt Kathleen was acting strangely that day, maybe hiding something. Kathleen’s niece believes Kathleen ran away because of problems at home, not because she was abducted. The police at the time agreed and didn’t investigate thoroughly.
Years later, the niece received mysterious phone calls – someone would say “You know who I am and I’m fine,” then hang up. The niece thinks these calls might have been from Kathleen. There’s even some uncertainty about the exact year Kathleen disappeared; it might have been 1980.
The case remains a mystery, but Kathleen’s family still hopes she’s alive.
