Details of Disappearance:
On April 1, 1981, a woman named Collins disappeared from Port Lavaca, Texas. She’d gone to town to shop and see a doctor, leaving her 3-year-old son with her boyfriend’s parents. Her car got a flat tire near the old Shell Fish Restaurant. Someone saw her talking to the driver of a light-colored van, possibly getting help with the tire. That’s the last anyone saw of her. Her car was found later, still with the flat tire.

Police think something bad happened to her. There’s a theory that her case might be linked to another unsolved disappearance in the same town, Wanda “Wendy” Priddy, who vanished in 1978. A man who knew both women was questioned, but nothing came of it. He’s since passed away. Collins had recently moved and was carrying a lot of money when she disappeared. The case remains a mystery.
