She has a surgical scar on the left side of her face extending from her forehead to her nose, a tattoo of a unicorn on her left shoulder and a tattoo of three hearts with her three children’s names on her right arm. Her ears are pierced and her nose was previously pierced, but the hole had closed by the time she disappeared. Arredondo’s nicknames are Kat and Kathy Worm.
Details of Disappearance:: On February 11, 2012, Maria Arredondo had a fight with her boyfriend in their Houston, Texas home. He stopped her car from working so she couldn’t leave. Later, she and her daughter went out, and Arredondo texted her boyfriend that she was breaking up with him. After returning home, they saw him go to a neighbor’s house. Arredondo went to sleep in her daughter’s room. At 7:00 a.m., she was gone. Her purse, money, and most of her belongings were still there, but her keys, phone, cigarettes, engagement ring, and necklace were missing. Her boyfriend said he didn’t see her after 5:00 a.m. Arredondo has never been found. Her family says she wouldn’t leave her three teenage children without a word, making her disappearance very suspicious, even though there’s no proof of a crime. The case is still unsolved.
