- On October 23, 2019, a nurse named Rodriguez and her landlord, Justin Winfrey, took off in Winfrey’s small red and white airplane from Novato, California. They were going to Mendocino County, but the plane vanished.
Phone records show Rodriguez tried to use her phone around 9:15 pm. Radar last saw the plane at 9:23 pm, five miles off the coast. After that, it disappeared.
A big search for two weeks found nothing. Rodriguez and Winfrey are considered dead, even though their bodies and the plane have never been found. San Francisco police are still trying to figure out what happened.
