- In 1985, Kelly and Kimberly Yates were taken from their Rhode Island home by their mom, who didn’t have legal custody. Thirty-two years later, in 2017, the sisters were found safe and healthy in Texas. Their mom was arrested. Now grown women with families of their own, Kelly and Kimberly have been put in touch with their father, who wants to reconnect with them. Their mother, who was using a different name, pleaded not guilty to kidnapping and was allowed to go back to Texas while waiting for her court case.
