- Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian male. Graying brown hair, blue or brown eyes. Schweighart may have a scar on his forehead.
- Details of Disappearance:
- In 1982, a man named Schweighart disappeared from the New Lisbon State School for Retarded Males in New Jersey. He’d lived there for about four years, and his family lived in Garfield, New Jersey. He walked away from the school at 11:45 a.m. on March 2nd, 1982, and was never seen again.
Interestingly, this wasn’t the only disappearance from the school. Two other men, Steven Anderson and David Williams, vanished together from the same place in 1975. Police don’t know if these disappearances are connected.
The school is now called the New Lisbon Developmental Center and is open to both men and women. All three cases remain mysteries.
