- Kimberly, just 15, married her boyfriend Steven in 1971. Their marriage was rocky, with many separations and two attempts at divorce before she finally filed for divorce in 1977.
On May 23, 1977, Kimberly left her two young daughters with a friend and met Steven at a pizza place to get some money. Witnesses saw them arguing. Steven said they left separately.
Later, Steven’s relative found Kimberly’s car abandoned on a highway. Her keys and checkbook were inside, but Kimberly was gone. Steven and his brother guessed she left with someone else.
However, Kimberly’s family said she would never leave her daughters. Police suspect something bad happened to her, but her disappearance remains a mystery.
