- Details of Disappearance:
- Britts disappeared on April 6, 1985, from a farm in Goochland County, Virginia. She’d recently separated from her husband and was living at the farm, owned by a friend. That day, the farm owner was away, leaving Britts with some workers and their family members. Britts told someone she was going out briefly but never returned.
A few days later, her car—a maroon and red Honda Civic (license plate FBY426)—was found abandoned near Interstate 64 in Albemarle County. There were suspicious red stains inside, and her purse was gone.
Police investigated her husband and the farm owner, but both had alibis and were cleared. Britts has never been found, and her disappearance remains a mystery.
