- A woman named Stewart-Whittington vanished from Eddyville, Illinois in September 2019. More than a year later, in December 2020, a deer hunter found her body in the woods near the border of Saline and Pope Counties. The body was identified as hers using dental records and other medical information. Police are still trying to figure out what happened to her.
