- Landon disappeared in Miami Shores, Florida on July 27, 1973. He was playing outside his home after his family returned from a camping trip. They were supposed to go to Disney World that day.
Landon had some behavioral issues – he was bullied at school, had tantrums, and sometimes ran away briefly. Because of this, his mom waited a day or two before reporting him missing.
Police found some of his things near his house, making them think he might have been meeting someone. He was never seen again.
Even after his family moved to Georgia in 1977, they left a note at their old house with instructions on how Landon could contact them.
Investigators think Landon is likely dead, but they don’t know exactly what happened. The case is still a mystery.
