Details of Disappearance:
Mason disappeared from Kansas City, Missouri on March 24, 1993. A family member took her to a jazz club called the El Capitan Lounge to celebrate her birthday. The last person to see her was the club owner, her former brother-in-law Richard Stallings. He said he drove her to a nearby intersection and that she was going to another place called the Mutual Musicians’ Foundation.

But Stallings’s story doesn’t quite add up, and police have always been suspicious. He was later convicted of murdering his girlfriend in 1995 and sent to prison for life. Police searched his house in 2015 hoping to find Mason, but they didn’t find anything. Stallings still claims he’s innocent in Mason’s disappearance, but it’s unsolved and police believe something bad happened to her. Mason was a nursing assistant and never collected her final paycheck.
