Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian female. Blonde hair, light brown eyes. Nimbach’s hair is naturally brown, but it was bleached light blonde at the time of her disappearance. It is naturally curly, but she may straighten it. Nimbach has a pink flower with a tribal design tattooed on her lower back, and her initials “LN” tattooed on her left wrist. She may spell her last name “Nimback,” “Numbach” and/or “Numback,” and her first name “Lora.” Her nose, upper lip, tongue and navel are pierced, and she has a scar on her eyebrow from a previous piercing.

Details of Disappearance:

Sarah Nimbach vanished in St. Petersburg, Florida. The last time anyone saw her was February 17, 2009, when a police officer found her sleeping behind a building. She’d just left a domestic violence shelter and said she was going to another shelter to escape her abusive boyfriend. But she never arrived, and no one has heard from her since.

Even though she was homeless at the time, she usually kept in touch with her family. Because she moved around a lot, the police didn’t take a missing person report seriously until six weeks later, on March 31st.

Nimbach had a troubled past. She’d gone to college in Michigan but dropped out. She struggled with oxycodone addiction, spent time in rehab, and even tried to kill herself. Before disappearing, she was in Florida for a court case (she’d been charged with assaulting a police officer but wasn’t worried). She disappeared a week before the hearing.

Her family is very worried because of her unstable lifestyle, drug use, and the fact that she’s completely disappeared. The case remains unsolved, and there’s some confusion about exactly where she was last seen – St. Petersburg or nearby Largo, Florida.
