- On January 1st, 2010, Cerda disappeared. She left her home in San Rafael, California to visit friends in San Jose, about 65 miles away. She told her husband she’d be back the next day, but she never returned. She didn’t have a car and usually took the bus. Although she planned to take a Greyhound bus to San Jose, there’s no proof she bought a ticket. Not much is known about what happened to her.
