- Details of Disappearance:
- On May 4, 1990, a bank executive named Young was last seen leaving a restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona, around 12:30 PM. Later that afternoon, someone used his car phone. He vanished without a trace.
His expensive purple Lincoln was found burned to a crisp in the desert south of Phoenix, about 100 miles away. The fire destroyed most of the evidence. Although thousands of dollars worth of jewelry was found in the trunk, his briefcase was gone. Young often dealt in jewelry and carried lots of cash.
Before he disappeared, Young had told the FBI he thought his bank was involved in illegal money laundering. Whether this is connected to his disappearance is unknown.
Police think someone harmed Young, but his case remains a mystery.
