Details of Disappearance:

On January 31, 1985, 22-year-old Reilly disappeared after leaving a restaurant called the Pierce Arrow in West Seneca, New York, with off-duty state trooper Daniel Rose. Rose returned to the restaurant alone an hour later.

Rose’s story to police was inconsistent. He claimed he left the restaurant with a woman named Cathy, not Reilly, and didn’t know where Reilly was. However, one of his friends confirmed he left with Reilly, while another said Rose left his apartment later that night to visit “some girl’s house.”

Rose refused to cooperate further with the investigation and was fired from the police force two weeks later, for reasons unrelated to Reilly’s disappearance. He later became a union leader. In 1998, he was arrested for drunk driving and resisting arrest.

Reilly’s father believed she was murdered after rejecting Rose’s advances, though there’s no proof. Police suspect foul play was involved. Rose is considered a suspect but has never been charged. Reilly’s case remains unsolved.
