Details of Disappearance:: On June 5, 2004, Lindsey and Samuel were taken away from their home in Independence, Missouri by their dad, Daniel Porter, who wasn’t supposed to have them. Police found Daniel later, but the kids were gone. He was sent to prison for 38 years for kidnapping them, but he wouldn’t say where they were and kept changing his story. Sadly, in September 2007, their bodies were found buried near Sugar Creek, Missouri. Police say they were murdered, but haven’t shared many details, and it’s not yet clear if their dad will face more charges.
