- Details of Disappearance:
- In October 1979, Borden disappeared. Her family last saw her in their Texas hometown of Big Spring. She went to California, called her family, but never used a plane ticket her boyfriend sent for her return. The last confirmed sighting was in Lodi, California on October 10, 1979.
A friend told her family Borden might have been in Amarillo, Texas, working as a waitress, but this hasn’t been proven. Borden often hitchhiked, and police think she might have been abducted. Texas law enforcement is investigating.
