- On November 19, 1992, Downey disappeared. He was last seen packing an overnight bag for a doctor’s appointment at a hospital in San Antonio, Texas. His wife was in another room. He was going fishing afterward. A friend was to drive him to the hospital at 9 pm, but he never showed up for the appointment and hasn’t been seen since.
