- Details of Disappearance:
- On November 10, 1989, Reyes disappeared from the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Dover, New York. He was there voluntarily for mental health treatment. Staff noticed he was missing around 7 pm when they went to get him for dinner; he’d last been seen two hours earlier. Reyes sometimes wandered around the hospital and even left the grounds. Just ten days before, he was found confused and wearing other patients’ clothes in a nearby parking lot. The hospital was near a train station and a short walk from Connecticut. Nobody knows what happened to Reyes after he disappeared, and the hospital itself closed in 1994.
