He was carrying a blue backpack and a watch in his pocket.
Distinguishing Characteristics:: Distinguishing Characteristics Hispanic male. Black hair, black eyes. Zavala has a scar on his left knee from a machete wound: it’s a line with three dots nearby. His ears are pierced.
Details of Disappearance:: Zavala disappeared in Arizona near the border with Mexico between July 16th and 19th, 2009. He was walking for eight hours on a highway trying to enter the US when he got too tired and dehydrated to keep going. No one has seen or heard from him since, and we don’t know much about what happened to him.
