Details of Disappearance:
On November 27, 2010, five men disappeared after a trip to Mexico. They left San Marcos, Texas in a green 2003 Chevrolet Suburban (Texas license plate AD98575). The group included: Hernandez (an American citizen), Carlos Ortega-Gonzales, Nicholas Munoz, Ricardo Gomez (all legal U.S. residents born in Mexico), and Ricardo’s nephew Jiovany Gomez (a teenager visiting from Chicago, also an American citizen).

They went to Laredo, Texas for car paperwork, then crossed into Nuevo Laredo, Mexico for shopping. Hernandez called his wife around noon, saying they’d be home by 7 or 8 pm. They never returned.

Their disappearance wasn’t reported until November 30th, when Hernandez and Munoz missed work at a concrete company. They were known to be reliable workers.

Police aren’t sure what happened. While Jiovany is listed as a runaway by some, the circumstances surrounding everyone’s disappearance are mysterious. It’s possible they’re still in Mexico, and there’s a chance something bad happened to them.
