- Smith disappeared in Phoenix, Arizona on July 4, 1991. He was last seen near the corner of East Indian School Road and North 20th Street, driving a green 1977 Volkswagen Rabbit (license plate GXT001). He’s never been found, and neither has his car.
On the day he vanished, his girlfriend received a threatening phone call from her ex-boyfriend who said he “got” Smith. While this is suspicious, it’s never been proven. Police believe something bad happened to Smith, but they haven’t solved the case.
