Details of Disappearance:
Lynette disappeared from Pocatello, Idaho on May 6, 1975, after leaving school for lunch. She was never seen again. While police initially thought she ran away, the mystery deepened.

Serial killer Ted Bundy confessed to killing Lynette just before his execution in 1989. He said he kidnapped her, took her to a Holiday Inn, killed her, and dumped her body in the Snake River. However, authorities aren’t completely sure they believe him.

Lynette’s disappearance is linked to four other unsolved murders of teenage girls in Pocatello between 1978 and 1983. These other cases happened *after* Bundy’s arrest, meaning he couldn’t have been responsible for them all. It’s very strange that so many girls disappeared from the same small city in such a short time.

Police hope that new science will help solve these cases and finally find Lynette. Bundy was suspected in many other disappearances of young women, but those cases remain unsolved as well.

Lynette was a normal seventh-grader who lived with her family in Pocatello. She was a good student but sometimes skipped school. She’s still listed as a missing person.
