- On June 26, 1989, Thompson disappeared from her home in the Prairie Creek area of Vigo County, Indiana. No one has seen or heard from her since. Her gray Pontiac car was later found abandoned in a Kmart parking lot in Terre Haute, Indiana. She wasn’t there. Before she disappeared, she told her family to investigate if she ever went missing. Police believe someone harmed her, but the case is still unsolved.
