- Details of Disappearance:
- On March 16, 2016, Marcus and his brother Kevin went kayaking on Lake Michigan near Port Washington, Wisconsin. The weather was terrible – strong winds (up to 30 mph) and big waves (5-8 feet high). Their kayaks flipped over, and Kevin lost sight of Marcus. Kevin, who was wearing a life jacket, swam to shore about 30 minutes later, arriving at 4:30 pm. He was very cold and needed hospital treatment.
A big search was done, but Marcus was never found. A month later, on March 28th, his kayak washed up on a beach in South Milwaukee. Because of the circumstances, it’s believed Marcus drowned, but his body was never recovered.
