- Details of Disappearance:
- On July 20, 2005, a woman named Heuser was last seen at her home in White Cloud, Michigan. She called her estranged husband from a bar in Hesperia, saying her boyfriend’s truck was out of gas and asking for a ride. He refused. She got a ride home and called her husband again two hours later – that was the last time he spoke to her.
Nobody reported her missing until August 10th. When police investigated, they found her car burned in her driveway. The fire was suspicious, and Heuser was gone.
Heuser had three children: one with her husband, and two grown-up children from a previous relationship. Her family said she was a good mother who wouldn’t leave them.
Police think Heuser was murdered. In 2014, they searched nearby lakes after hearing rumors her body might be in a barrel at the bottom of one. The case is still unsolved.
