- In 1997, a woman named Jelovcic vanished from Gary, Indiana. She was with Randy Yager, a biker gang member who was a fugitive, wanted for serious crimes like running illegal businesses and having illegal weapons. Police worried about Jelovcic’s safety.
Seventeen years later, in October 2014, they were found living secretly in Mexico under fake names. Yager was caught, but Jelovcic shot herself during a police chase. She was 48 years old.
