Details of Disappearance:
On October 17, 1998, a housekeeper named Serrano vanished in Half Moon Bay, California. She left her home on Cypress Street at 2:30 PM to clean a house on Purissima Street, but she never arrived. This happened during the town’s Pumpkin Festival.

Serrano was a quiet person who didn’t speak English. She had come from Mexico, leaving two young children behind whom she regularly supported with money. Those children have since moved to the US and still hope to find their mother.

The Half Moon Bay Police Department originally investigated her disappearance, but that department no longer exists. The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office now handles the case, but it remains unsolved.
