- Mariah went missing from Biscoe, North Carolina on October 8, 2001. Her mom, Porfria Salmeron Chavez, who didn’t have legal custody, took her. Police issued an arrest warrant for Chavez in 2007 for kidnapping. A picture of Chavez is available. She was 36 at the time of the kidnapping (born September 15, 1965), is Hispanic, 5 feet tall, weighs about 145 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. Chavez might have taken Mariah to Mexico. No one knows where Mariah is, and the case is still open.
