Details of Disappearance:
Marialice disappeared in Omaha, Nebraska on August 1, 1972. She was seen getting into a car with Chicago license plates and was never seen again. Her family didn’t report her missing until September 27th, initially thinking she had run away.

Two years before her disappearance, when she was only 12, Marialice’s name appeared on a government warrant. She was supposedly an informant who told authorities about weapons hidden by the National Committee to Combat Fascism (a Black Panther offshoot) in Omaha. While a search warrant was issued, the search never happened.

Around the same time, a bomb exploded, killing a police officer and injuring another. Two leaders of the group, Rice and Poindexter, were convicted of the murder and sentenced to life in prison, despite claiming they were framed and a parole board recommending their release. Rice is deceased, but Poindexter remains in prison.

Marialice’s family suspects her involvement in the government investigation led to her disappearance. They believe the government lied about her providing information, putting her in danger by naming her in the warrant. Her sister dated one of the convicted men, which might explain any connection to the group. However, her family doubts she knew enough about weapons to provide the detailed information attributed to her.

The case remains unsolved, and Marialice’s family continues to seek answers.
