Details of Disappearance:
Tina McCown vanished on July 22, 2001, after visiting a laundromat in Richmond, Indiana. She told her mother that some men had harassed her there, then returned to the laundromat to collect her things. Security footage shows her leaving in her SUV, seemingly unharmed.

Weeks before her wedding, McCown disappeared, leaving behind her eight-year-old daughter. Her fiancĂ©, Bobby Webster, was questioned. He canceled the wedding soon after, tried to return her wedding ring for cash, and claimed he needed money to search for her. Police found no evidence against him, and he passed a lie detector test. His name was on the car’s registration.

McCown’s sister revealed she was secretly dating Tommy Swint, a former corrections officer and later police officer, whom Webster didn’t know. The sister warned McCown to end the relationship. Swint was a suspect early on; he was fired from his police job when his involvement in McCown’s case was revealed.

McCown’s SUV was found damaged in Dayton, Ohio, months later, with her clean laundry inside. Her ex-boyfriend lived in that apartment complex, but he had an alibi and passed a lie detector test. McCown had called a coworker in Dayton the day she disappeared.

In 2010, Swint was charged with a 1991 murder and was about to be questioned about other unsolved killings when he committed suicide. He remains a suspect in McCown’s disappearance.

Police believe McCown drove to Dayton after leaving the laundromat, and that something happened to her there. The case remains unsolved, and foul play is suspected.
