- Details of Disappearance:
- Marjorie disappeared from Greenacres City, Florida on May 27, 1984. She was last seen at a grocery store (now Belk’s) near her home, buying cat food around 3:00 p.m. She might have stayed to play video games until 6:00 p.m., or gone to a nearby park. Her sister discovered she was missing around 8:30 p.m. that night. Later, Marjorie’s clothing was found in a nearby swamp.
Several men were investigated:
* **The Rambo brothers:** They lived nearby and were convicted of molesting Marjorie’s friend. Police searched their home but found no evidence linking them to Marjorie’s disappearance.
* **Victor Wonyetye:** He lived nearby, was seen near the store that day, and had a history of sexual assault. He was a suspect in another girl’s disappearance in New Hampshire. While prison inmates claimed he confessed to Marjorie’s murder, he was never charged, and denied involvement.
* **Delbert Mosher:** He had a history of child molestation and lived in the area.
* **William Ferris:** He lived near a friend of Marjorie’s and made unsettling comments before and after her disappearance (saying a girl would disappear and would never be found). However, there’s no evidence linking him to the crime.
Police suspect foul play, but Marjorie’s case remains unsolved. Her mother still lives in their old home, hoping for answers.
