- Kirk disappeared from Waco, Texas on December 6, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. He was last seen near his group home on North 43rd Street. He’d lived there for over eight years.
Kirk was friendly and could use public buses. He sometimes wandered off on his own; once, he even walked 40 miles to his aunt’s house in Whitney, Texas (where his family still lives).
Police are worried because Kirk has health problems and wasn’t dressed warmly for the December weather when he disappeared. A big search didn’t find him, and his case is still a mystery.
