- On Christmas Day 2012, a man named Myhre left from the Middle Keys in Florida on his new boat, the Galilean, for a solo trip. He talked to his son that day. He was heading to Key West and then planned to sail to the Caribbean and Panama Canal.
A week later, his boat was found empty and undamaged on a beach near Miami. There were no signs of trouble or that anyone had left the boat recently. Despite a big search, Myhre was never found. He lived in Wisconsin, and his disappearance is still a mystery.
