- On May 12, 2015, in Memphis, Tennessee, a woman named McGhee disappeared. She’d taken her sons to her dad’s house, initially planned to stay for dinner, but then went home. Later that night, her parents received a call from her sons’ father. He said they’d argued, and she hit him. He called the police, but McGhee was gone when they arrived. Her mother couldn’t reach her by phone. McGhee’s disappearance is unusual; she never left without telling anyone. She hasn’t used her food benefits card since, and her car—a tan/brown 1999 Ford Contour with tape on the driver’s side window and license plate 302ZTG—is missing. The police haven’t solved the case.
