Details of Disappearance:
Mary Ann disappeared on June 7, 1962, in Bloomfield, Pennsylvania (near Pittsburgh). After school, she ran errands at an apartment building. She was last seen returning to the building around 2:45 p.m. Her family reported her missing that night.

A few days later, some jewelry possibly hers was found near the zoo, but a big search found nothing else.

Years later, a man claimed he saw a minister hurt and kill a girl in 1962, and Mary Ann was the only missing girl in the area at that time. However, this wasn’t proven, and the minister wasn’t charged.

Mary Ann lived with her aunt and cousins after her parents separated. Police initially thought her mother might have taken her, but that wasn’t the case. Her parents and aunt are now dead, but she has a half-brother who’s a police officer.

Another woman disappeared from the same apartment building a few years earlier. There’s no link between the two disappearances.

Police think something bad happened to Mary Ann, but what exactly remains a mystery.
