- Carter disappeared around December 1984. The last confirmed sighting was in Reno, Nevada on December 14th, but some believe she went missing earlier, on December 3rd. She was heading to Carson City to look for work, but nobody knows if she ever got there. Later, her wallet was found and handed in at a place called Harvey’s in Lake Tahoe, California. The police haven’t solved the mystery of what happened to her.
