- Details of Disappearance:
- On August 10, 2018, David Weaver disappeared. He was last seen near his home in Simi Valley, California. That morning, he texted a friend saying something strange was happening and he needed to talk urgently. The text was sent from a scenic overlook in the Santa Monica Mountains.
His silver BMW was later found abandoned nearby. Months later, his car keys were discovered on a hiking trail just a short distance from the car. His father found pieces of a white shirt, possibly his, and someone else found a red Los Angeles Angels hat that his family believes was his.
Before he disappeared, Weaver had moved to Los Angeles and started a new job. He dreamed of traveling the world. The Los Angeles police are still investigating his disappearance, and the case remains a mystery.
