- Kawase went missing from Oklahoma City on August 20, 2001. Six years later, in April 2007, someone found her bones near a Boy Scout camp in the southern part of the city. It wasn’t until August of 2007 that they knew whose bones they were. Police still don’t know how she died, and they’re still trying to figure out what happened.
