- Melvin disappeared. He was last seen in Greencastle, Pennsylvania on May 25th, 1985, and nobody has seen or heard from him since. Two days later, his truck was found abandoned at a supermarket in Reisterstown, Maryland. Strangely, his wallet and checkbook were still inside, along with a loaded rifle in the back. The keys were in the ignition, and someone had carefully wiped all the fingerprints off the truck.
